AFTTO Aims

• Establish a network of responsible tourism companies, operators and organisations supporting sustainable business in, and with, Africa
• Promotion of Africa as a tourist destination, and particularly as a responsible tourist destination
• Establish an industry recognised Charter of Responsible Tourism in Africa
• Support local African companies & local economic and environmental initiatives
• Promotion of responsible best practice throughout the industry
• Increase education and information for customers so they are able to make informed choices regarding tourist destinations and services
• Provide services to members to enable them to practice and communicate their sustainable and responsible business operations
• Encourage genuine dialogue and interaction between tourists and travel companies and the societies and peoples in which they visit and operate
• Represent the interests of responsible African travel and tourist companies as well as companies operating and trading with Africa
